I know you’re familiar with Johanna Kurkela from the band Auri but did you know she has another band thats a bit more melancholy and cinematic? Its called Altamullan Road. Regardless, I found this interview where she says you + one of your speeches were a great source of motivation for her to take the plunge for songwriting and I figured everyone likes to know when they genuinely inspire someone. Do your followers know about Libby? It's an app where, at least in the United States, you can listen to as many professionally recorded audio books as you'd like for FREE, so long as you have a library card. You don't even need to visit the library, you can just borrow the audiobooks from your phone.

1. When It’s Time - Altamullan Road. It’s been #1 since the album came out in 2020 because its hauntingly beautiful and about saying goodbye to a partner and asking if they will walk with you down the aisle when it’s your turn to pass as well. Well, its a bit more ambiguous than that but I’m melancholy and always amassing OTP songs sooo…
2. The Bell - Eye of Melian. This band is perfect if you’re a Tolkien nerd, someone who likes film scores, or a skyrim stan. All about time/life and how it moves on no matter what.
3. Pearl Diving - Auri. My favorite band. Whimsical escapism, gloriously benevolent vocals that make me want to dive into the sea and marry a selkie.
4. Hetken tässä kaiken on järkee - Elastinen ft Johanna Kurkela. This one is just fun. And its in finnish — which I’m trying to learn. Also Johanna is so pretty in the music video that i literally start sweating.
5. Hearts Of Old - Altamullan Road. They never got to tour due to the pandemic, but they did get to perform this about a year ago on SuomiLOVE and its hands down my favorite live performance of all time. So sweet and loving, their voices are absolutely heartstopping together and I’m literally getting a passport the minute they tour.

5 songs that I actually listen to?? I listen to less music these days. I've doing more audiobooks. But I always have a few songs on the brain because of vidding related projects (either past or present).
